East Hartford Public Schools provided this photo of Thomas Anderson. NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford Public Schools Superintendent Thomas Anderson is leaving his post. Anderson has been hired as the new superintendent in East Hartford, Connecticut. 'I am excited to be returning to the East Hartford Schools in my hometown, and where I started my teaching career 26 years ago,' he said. 'I have a clear understanding of the East Hartford Public Schools' commitment to academic excellence with a lens on equity and supporting the whole student.
