NBC Connecticut A plane crashed shortly after take-off from Brainard Airport in Hartford on Saturday and emergency crews are at the scene. Several emergency vehicles can be seen at the airport on Lindbergh Drive. The Connecticut Airport Authority said the single-engine aircraft crashed shortly after take-off at Hartford-Brainard Airport around 3:45 p.m. It's unclear how many people were on board or what the extent of any injuries may be. The airport is currently closed. This is a developing story.
