HARTFORD - Brothers Staff Sgt. Daniel W. Matthews, left, of the Marines and Army Command Sgt. Major JamesPeter M. Matthews, both from Winsted, were inducted into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame during a ceremony at the National Guard Armory in Hartford on Thursday. This is the first time since the program began in 2005 that brothers have been inducted together. They and their step-father, David McGee, who was in the Marines, are the only three veterans from Winsted who are in the hall. Contributed.
